The client approached LKK Design following an unsuccessful previous design attempt by another company. The initial glucose meter design resembled consumer electronics rather than a professional medical device, lacking the appropriate aesthetic and functional qualities needed for clinical environments. Sinocare needed a complete redesign that would better serve nurses and patients while supporting their unique business model of providing devices through test strip subscriptions.
