The Children's UAV is a drone specifically engineered for children, aiming to teach UAV technology and enhance hands-on skills and creativity through an educational and fun experience. In recent years, as drone technology has become integrated into daily life, children's UAVs have emerged as a significant new category in educational toys. However, the drone market is highly competitive. Our client needed a standout product that would capture children's imaginations while ensuring safety and delivering genuine educational value.

1. Design Research

2. Industrial Design
Our industrial design phase focused on the user experience, safety, and appeal.

  • Appearance & UX: We created friendly, engaging forms inspired by animals and cartoons to instantly connect with children. The interface was simplified with intuitive controls and clear voice prompts.

  • Material Selection: We prioritized non-toxic, fireproof, and lightweight materials to meet strict safety standards.

  • Educational Integration: The accompanying programming software was designed to be accessible, allowing children to learn block-based coding in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

3. Mechanical Structure Design
Using advanced CAD software, we engineered the drone's detailed mechanical architecture. This involved designing all components for optimal assembly, durability, and performance. We ran simulation tests to validate structural integrity and flight stability, while also designing for maintainability and end-of-life recyclability.

4. Prototyping & Testing
We built functional prototypes for rigorous testing.
