Based on the rising demand for outdoor camping activities, outdoor consumption upgrades such as family road trips, small picnics, camping, photography, fishing, etc., outdoor power supply has become the mainstream of short-distance electricity, and a light weight, small size, convenient mobile energy storage power supply is particularly important. The product is durable, portable and light, the total weight does not exceed 3kg, and the folding design is more convenient for storage and carrying out, and the folding size is only 54.5cm*39cm*2cm. The product bracket can be adjusted to adjust the Angle between the photovoltaic package and the sun according to the environment, and independently improve the conversion efficiency of the photovoltaic package. LKK Design has created three styles of appearance for the “Explorer” series of small Blue Technology to meet the needs of different people in different use scenarios, breaking through the stereotype of traditional photovoltaic bags and creating a new fashion of outdoor energy.

Design strategy:

Portable and light.

In 2022, Small Blue Technology and Rococo Design to create the “Explorer” series of portable photovoltaic bags, stylish shape and portable folding design, more in line with the outdoor use needs of today’s young people. The “Explorer” series portable PV pack is a sustainable solar charger that uses a chip with a high conversion rate of 23.8% of monocrystalline silicon to convert solar energy to electricity. This product is characterized by portability and durability and multi-scene application, to meet the courtyard, outdoor, travel and other multi-scene applications.

Diverse styles:

1. Cowboy photovoltaic bag design inspiration from western cowboys, cowboy adventure and hard-working spirit, is a “hero on horseback”, meaning not afraid of the road ahead, the courage to explore. Small blue Light bag (denim) with leather handle, comfortable grip, the first layer of cowhide storage bag, not only effectively protect accessories, but also highlight the texture. Denim is durable and integrated waterproof design, beautiful and extend the service life, so that you travel without fear of wind and rain, anytime and anywhere to travel.
2. Sports photovoltaic bags use color contrast design, embellish wild zebra print, increase the original natural tonality, closer to nature, highlight the young and energetic image. The body is fully waterproof fabric, hidden zipper and pocket flap better strengthen the protection of the product, and rainy camping is more romantic. Dual independent storage bag to ensure accessories storage, electricity orderly. The mix of reflective materials and canvas makes the movement more textured. Through the preliminary research and analysis, it is found that with the rapid growth of individual users of new energy vehicles, users have put forward higher requirements for the convenience and safety of electric vehicle home charging piles.

In response to this situation, Suzhou Zhilu joint Rococo design team launched a fixed charging pile product portfolio that can be carried on the car and can be portable installed, which can help users charge anywhere there is a power source.

1. Universal adaptation, home + mobile charging solution. This set of products provides home and mobile charging solutions for pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, which can supplement high-quality electric energy for more than 95% of new energy vehicles with three global standards (Chinese standard, European standard and American standard), and can expand a variety of application scenarios through intelligent systems.

Traditional public EV chargers do not consider product design at an early stage. PMAC PEVC2107 AC EV charger’s minimalist curved surface design breaks out of the previous shell mechanical design and breaks the previous traditional public EV charger’s rigid impression.

The organic curved surface design creates a natural sunshade for the product, and the display interface that conforms to the human-machine angle ingeniously combines the product form and the product function, which is highly personalized and improves user convenience.

It requires to achieve mass production in a short period of time to seize the market. The customer cooperated with LKKER SCM with the expectation to break through in product differentiation and user experience and build their own product identification.

The LKKER SCM team helped RHWCH develop a new generation of DC charging piles. After in-depth understanding understanding and analysis of the DC charging pile market, the LKKER SCM team reorganized the user’s operating procedures and analyzed the target product to figure out product innovations and unique product identification. The team helped the customer occupy the market and take the first step from design direction definition to human-machine, structural innovation of heat dissipation, and to aesthetic design.

Solutions & Goal

1.Create product identification and operation experience unique to RHWCH DC charging piles. Rearranged the user’s operation area so that the user can complete a series of operations such as swiping, touch input, pulling the charger, and placing the charger in the same horizontal direction.

2.Considered the details of multiple scenarios to increase product user experience. At night, the vertical indicator light strip uses diffuse light that is soft and represents a unique product identification, perfectly integrating function and experience.

3.Changed the traditional form of heat dissipation to make the product more holistic. The creative use of the bottom air inlet and the top air outlet design not only meets the need for heat dissipation but also the requirements for outdoor rain and dust-proof.

4.Changed the pull and plug of traditional chargers and added the design of the charger position, which greatly improved the user’s operating experience.

5.Comprehensive considerations of costs, processes and production chain that allowed mass production in a short period of time and grabbed the market opportunity for customers.
