Innovation Insights

Market Insight
User Pain Points
For VR product design, providing users with a strong sense of immersion is extremely important.
Several international gaming platforms, including OMNI, placed considerable physical restrictions on users and did not provide a fully immersive experience.
KAT Space reorganized the complete user experience and operating process, significantly improving overall usability.
Innovation Value
The second-generation VRspace developed by the LKK Design team for Hangzhou Virtual Reality Technology Co., Ltd. was launched at a press conference in Beijing.
The product attracted significant attention from both domestic and international media.
Compared with the well-known American OMNI product, it provides a more comfortable user experience.
When used together with HTC Vive, it delivers an even more complete sense of immersion.
Design Strategy

Product Strategy
The project began from a service design perspective.
The design team conducted user-centered experience research through detailed analysis of gamers’ operating processes, 360-degree evaluations, role simulations, and in-depth interviews.
Ergonomic dimensional data was also incorporated into the development process.
The results and data obtained through experience verification were then fully reflected in the product’s exterior design.

Experience Optimization
The restraint structure was redesigned to reduce physical limitations during use.
This improvement strengthened the sense of immersion and made the gaming experience feel more realistic.
💡 Solution
1. Futuristic and Technology-Driven Exterior Design
The product adopts a clear and minimalist white color scheme, complemented by black elements to create a strong visual contrast.
Blue indicator lights add visual accents and emphasize the product’s technological character.
The overall product lines also communicate structural strength and stability, clearly expressing the characteristics required of the platform.
2. Ergonomic Design Supporting Full-Joint Movement
The team conducted a detailed analysis of the complete user journey.
Appropriate ergonomic dimensions were developed for every point of contact between the user and the product.
This improves operating comfort and creates a more complete user experience.
