MyWiFi Indoor Router
Successfully Applied in Airports, Hospitals, and Other Public Spaces
Innovation Insights

Project Background
The Maiwaidi Indoor Router was developed primarily for public spaces that require stable and convenient wireless network access.
The product is designed to provide free Wi-Fi services and adapt to airports, hospitals, and other indoor public environments.
Market Insight
Routers used in public spaces must not only provide reliable network connectivity but also integrate naturally into different architectural and interior environments.
Compared with conventional routers, public Wi-Fi equipment requires greater flexibility in installation, cleaner visual presentation, and better compatibility with complex usage scenarios.
Design Strategy

Product Strategy
The design team conducted an in-depth analysis of router development trends and practical application scenarios.
Visual elements suitable for hospitals and other public spaces were identified and incorporated into the product design.
While improving the router’s functional performance, the design also enhanced its visual expression and adaptability to different environments.

Experience Optimization
The product breaks away from the conventional form of traditional routers.
Its rounded exterior creates a visual impression of connection and communication, reflecting the core function of wireless network equipment.
The design fulfills the product’s functional requirements while providing a cleaner and more visually appealing experience.
💡 Solution
1. Flexible Installation and Concealed Components
The fixing structure at the bottom of the router supports three installation methods: desktop placement, wall mounting, and ceiling mounting.
This flexible design allows the product to adapt to different spatial and operational requirements.
The signal reception components are cleverly concealed inside the circular housing, reducing visual clutter and creating a simpler and more integrated appearance.
2. Public Wi-Fi Application and Market Response
The router designed by the LKK team for Maiwaidi is mainly used in public spaces to provide free Wi-Fi services.
The product was launched in the first half of 2016 and was successfully installed in airports, hospitals, and other public locations.
After entering the market, it received positive feedback and achieved a favorable market response.
