Our client, an innovator in the wearable technology space, aimed to bring cutting-edge brainwave control technology into the consumer market. They recognized the vast potential of seamless, intuitive human-computer interaction. The vision was for a wearable device that could interact with smart devices wirelessly by reading and analyzing the user's brainwave signals. LKK Design was enlisted to transform this vision into a market-ready, user-centric product—the AI Brainwave Camera—with applications spanning wellness, entertainment, and education.
Through comprehensive user research, LKK Design identified a key user demand for products enabling fast and accurate interaction. Users were also interested in technology that could help them understand and manage their emotional states. The primary objectives for the AI Brainwave Camera were:

Design Research
Our process began with in-depth user and market research. We identified target user profiles, key usage scenarios, and core pain points. This research informed every design decision, focusing on comfort, ease of use, and making complex technology feel accessible and intuitive.
Industrial Design
The industrial design prioritized user experience through form and material.
Lightweight Design: We selected high-strength, lightweight materials to minimize burden on the user.
Adjustable Structure: The headband features an adjustable structure to fit various head sizes and ensure stable sensor contact.

Mechanical Structure Design

Electronic Design

Firmware Development: Efficient, low-level firmware was written to drive the hardware, collect raw brainwave data, and handle preliminary processing and transmission.
