Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), a leading institution in robotics research in China, sought to develop an AI-powered cooperative robot tailored for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. With growing demand for automation, HIT aimed to create a robot that combined advanced AI capabilities with user-friendly design to adapt to diverse industrial scenarios.

Design Research
Through in-depth scenario-based research and user experience analysis, LKK identified gaps in traditional industrial robot designs. The study highlighted the need for a robot that balanced advanced AI functionality with simplicity and accessibility.

Industrial Design
LKK developed a lightweight, sleek, and modern design language for the AI cooperative robot. The design featured modular joints and a unified exterior, which simplified assembly while maintaining a professional and intelligent appearance. Contrasting materials and colors emphasized its advanced yet approachable nature.

Mechanical Structure Design
The design team optimized every mechanical detail, including hidden screw holes and flange designs, to ensure durability and aesthetic consistency. The robot’s arm joints were engineered to emulate plier-like clamping, providing both strength and precision for AI-assisted tasks.
