B12-RX, a pioneer in health supplements, faced a common user challenge: the inconvenience and discomfort of clinic-based vitamin injections. They envisioned a home-use solution that would empower individuals. Their goal was to break down the barriers to consistent treatment through superior Self-Injector design. Partnering with LKK Design, they sought to combine medical necessity with consumer-grade usability, creating a device that was not only effective but also approachable.
The primary objective was to redefine the standards of Self-Injector design by creating a device that was intuitive, safe, and minimized pain. The key requirements were:

Industrial Design
Our Self-Injector design process began with deep user empathy. We tackled anxiety and complexity by creating a product that felt more like a consumer electronic device than a medical tool. The form features soft, rounded contours for a comfortable and secure grip. A minimalist aesthetic with a single, well-defined button makes operation simple and foolproof, central to our user-centric Self-Injector design philosophy.
Mechanical Engineering Design
The mechanical Self-Injector design is where the promise of "nearly painless" was engineered. We developed a proprietary mechanism centered on an ultra-fine micro-needle to minimize skin penetration force. A precision spring and damping system were calibrated to ensure consistent drug delivery speed and accurate dosage.
