Our client aimed to develop a smart baby stroller for modern families. The project began with in-depth user research, which revealed key market insights: parents desired a multi-functional product for diverse scenarios, placed a high premium on portability and ease of use, and considered product quality and safety their top priority.

Based on these findings, we positioned the product's core advantages as feature-rich, portable & easy-to-use, and high-quality & safe, setting a clear strategic direction for the design and development process.

The client's goal was to create a product that balanced practicality with innovation. The key objectives were:

  1. 3-in-1 Functional Integration: Seamlessly combine a stroller, baby bed, and carrycot to meet various needs.

    • Stroller Mode: An ergonomic push-handle design, easy to fold and carry.

    • Baby Bed Mode: A spacious interior for babies of different ages, with a large storage basket underneath.

    • Carrycot Mode: An easily detachable cradle designed for infant physiology, providing a secure and comfortable resting area outdoors.

  2. Refined Detailing: Meticulous attention to detail. The canopy features a double-layer design (wind/rain-proof outer layer and UV-protective inner layer) with a viewing window. The main body is constructed from full aviation-grade aluminum alloy, ensuring beauty, robustness, and superior safety.

To achieve these goals, LKK Design followed a systematic and rigorous development process.

1. Design Research
The project began with deep user and market research. Our team identified core user pain points, establishing "Portability," "Multi-functionality," and "Safety" as the three guiding design principles that informed all subsequent decisions.

2. Industrial Design
In this phase, we focused on aesthetics and user experience.

  • Form & Structure: We developed a sleek, premium visual language. The structure was designed for intuitive transformation between the three modes.

  • Materials & Finish: We explored innovative materials and manufacturing processes to ensure durability while enhancing the product's overall feel and usability.

3. Mechanical Structure Design
The core of mechanical design was stability, durability, and safety.

  • Frame Structure: The frame, crafted from aviation aluminum alloy, was optimized for structural integrity and excellent load-bearing capacity in all modes.

  • Mechanisms: We engineered reliable and smooth mechanical systems for folding and mode transitions, ensuring safe and effortless operation.

4. Prototyping & Testing
We maintained strict quality control during prototyping and trial production.

  • Mold Development: Every mold was meticulously controlled to ensure part precision and quality stability for mass production.

  • Prototype Testing: Fully functional prototypes underwent rigorous testing, simulating real-world scenarios to evaluate performance, safety, and stability. User feedback was gathered and incorporated for final product optimization.

5. Electronic Design (Smart Integration)
To enhance intelligence, we integrated thoughtful electronic features.

  • Safety Systems: Equipped with smart sensors and an anti-theft alarm system for added security.
