Optimize the experience:

In view of the limitations of different experimental spaces, the product can be compatible with most laboratory placements, and the basic elements such as the placement method and size of the products are redefined.

Solution:

  1. The design can repeat the middle 2U standard module to 5U, 7U, 9U through the basic shape of 3U size……… to meet different lab equipment volume needs.
  2. The top cover of the product is made of black semi-transparent acrylic material, the whole top cover can be opened as a whole to facilitate equipment care inspection, and the operating status of the internal equipment can be seen through acrylic without opening the top cover.
  3. The unique screen bracket on the top of the equipment realizes that the front machine can still be adjusted to a comfortable viewing angle for the experimenter at different module heights at low cost, and the integrity of the product can still be ensured when removing the bracket according to the needs of different laboratories for the monitor. Laminated membrane design:

Due to the high replacement cost of the oxygenator and the problems of leakage and infection that may occur during the replacement process, the clinical use cycle of the oxygenator is also put forward higher requirements. The gas exchange membrane of the traditional membrane oxygenator adopts a winding method similar to web paper, which has long blood flow path, high transmembrane pressure difference, and is easier to form thrombosis between membranes, which is more suitable for short-term extracorporeal circulation of traditional extracardiac surgery, and the first laminated membrane oxygenator in China to adopt a longitudinal and horizontal overlapping design, shorter blood flow path, larger cross-section, more uniform blood distribution, and lower transmembrane pressure difference, which greatly prolongs the clinical use time, and is relatively more suitable for long-acting extracorporeal circulation.

After preliminary sketch design and market research, the product designer completes the prototype design and prepares it for the next structural design.
  2. Structural design link. In this link, the prototype design should be further implemented, and the component layout and assembly method inside the body should be determined through the design of the structure to ensure that the performance and use effect of the machine are better.   3. Before cooperating with us, the customer had entrusted other design company to deliver the design of a Glucometer. But after the product was done, the customer found that it failed to meet the expectations. They came to LKKER SCM for a redesign. They requested equal emphasis on both appearance and structure and showed us the product delivered by the other design company, which looked like a digital electronic product rather than a medical device that could make the nurses and patients feel a sense of affinity. Besides, its holding experience was also poor. The customer expected that we should be considered of such problems and avoid making the same mistakes. The product to be designed is for the use of nurses rather than ordinary households. Their marketing model is to provide the machine for free with purchase of strips. Moreover, so far, few such products are available on the market and they are hoping to make up for the gap in the market and capture market share as early as possible.


Solutions & Goal

The client entrusted LKKER SCM for the design of the medical Glucometer and the base. Based on the design needs, we analyzed and summarized from the medical blood Glucometer market. In terms of design positioning, we proposed to reposition the image of Sinocare blood Glucometer, establish a comfortable and user-friendly image, and adopt a new experience-type design.
