User insight:

To solve the pain point of high learning cost of replacing toner cartridge, the toner cartridge is designed separately, and the front cover can be opened for self-replacement

1. It is equipped with Huawei HarmonyOS and can be linked to Hongmeng Ecological network. With the touch of mobile phone, it can say goodbye to the era when traditional printer connection is difficult and remote printing is impossible, which is an epoch-making product.

The design uphold the concept of levitation technology as the original intention, closely cooperated with Huawei’s product positioning and Lenovo’s technical limitations, completed the industrial design from 0 to 1 within nearly a year, and adopted multi-frequency inspiration collision and run-in on the CMF to finalize the final scheme.

Optimize the experience:

In view of the limitations of different experimental spaces, the product can be compatible with most laboratory placements, and the basic elements such as the placement method and size of the products are redefined.

Solution:

  1. The design can repeat the middle 2U standard module to 5U, 7U, 9U through the basic shape of 3U size……… to meet different lab equipment volume needs.
  2. The top cover of the product is made of black semi-transparent acrylic material, the whole top cover can be opened as a whole to facilitate equipment care inspection, and the operating status of the internal equipment can be seen through acrylic without opening the top cover.
  3. The unique screen bracket on the top of the equipment realizes that the front machine can still be adjusted to a comfortable viewing angle for the experimenter at different module heights at low cost, and the integrity of the product can still be ensured when removing the bracket according to the needs of different laboratories for the monitor. In the industrial design process, the Rococo team provided appearance design services for Kangshang Biomedical this time, in the early stage of design, we fully considered the cumbersome and inconvenient use of traditional oxygen generators, and improved the experience of medical staff in use; From the user’s point of view, the designer should stand in the user’s point of view, taking into account the shape, size, material and other factors of the model, in order to meet the user’s aesthetic and practical needs. After preliminary sketch design and market research, the product designer completes the prototype design and prepares it for the next structural design.
  2. Structural design link. In this link, the prototype design should be further implemented, and the component layout and assembly method inside the body should be determined through the design of the structure to ensure that the performance and use effect of the machine are better. Even a very small structural design requires careful consideration in order to increase production efficiency and reduce production costs in series production in the future.
  3. In the prototype production stage, the factory will make a prototype like industrial design and structural design drawings based on the product renderings, 3D files and BOM tables designed by the designer , to verify the results of the design phase and check whether the prototype meets the customer’s needs in terms of appearance and function.
  4. 1.Redesigned the brand image for TierTime and integrated the image into the product to create distinctive features; LKKER SCM redesigned the brand logo image for the TierTime 3D printer and integrated the image into the whole product design.
