The engines manufactured by the customer are also partly for sale in addition to the part used by its own vehicles. Therefore, a good-looking appearance and reliable structure are very important. The biggest challenge to this project is that the appearance is the structure and the structure is the appearance, which is relatively complicated and pose a big challenge to the accuracy of modeling.
Solutions & Goal
This electric bus engine achieves full coverage of series-parallel, parallel and series connection. This technology fills a gap in the market. It gets rid of the gearbox so that there is no physical connection between the drive motor and the generator, forming a series mode. The battery is increased base on such mode to form an extended-range; it achieves full coverage of urban buses (speed limit 70km/h), tourist buses, commuter cars, and long-distance passenger vehicles (100km/h or more). It is highly integrated, and the vehicle is more convenient and safer to install. Moreover, a single supply and a parallel dual supply can be used to make the selection more flexible. It marks a great progress on the course of new energy development.
The design team has pioneered to adopt sturdy all cast aluminum frame design through the combination of aesthetics and mechanics, which makes the modeling more natural and varied. The overall model is shaped by aircraft elements, reflecting the sense of speed, strength and technology in the product. The application of materials and surface treatments reflects the value of the product and the sense of equipment. The correlation between appearance and connotation embodies high innovative design awareness. Meanwhile, the engine is designed in shockproof and waterproof function. It maximizes the balance between elements such as form, function, cost and implementation.
On September 20th, the 2018 Beijing International Design Week Design Expo was officially opened at the Beijing Agricultural Exhibition Center, which was co-sponsored by LKK Innovation Group (hereinafter referred to as “LKK”) and LKKER (LKKER) sharing design platform.
